Golden Turmeric Latte
1 cup Coconut milk ( or milk of choice)
1 1/2 tsp ground turmeric (or thumb size fresh root)
1/4 tsp ground ginger ( 1 Tbsp fresh root)
1 whole cinnamon stick (or 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon)
1 Tbsp coconut oil
1 pinch ground black pepper
Sweetener of choice (i.e. 1 tsp honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar, or stevia- adjust measurements accordingly)
Here are the main ingredients, from there on i like to add a few more spices, its up to you, get creative! My extras:
1-2 whole cloves
1 whole aniseed
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
pinch ground cardamon
Add milk and all ingredients to a saucepan.
Warm over medium heat, stir occasionally, approx. 4 minutes.
Taste before serving to adjust sweetener or ginger for spice.
Strain and enjoy!
